The Aspire color touchscreen smartphone and cradles are a business aviation first, developed by aviation's trusted Satcom supplier, EMS Aviation, now a part of Honeywell.

Purpose-built for in-flight phone calls to put voice quality first, the handset is offered in both wired and wireless formats and incorporates superior industrial design, and ergonomics. Designed specifically for use with Inmarsat or Iridium satellite networks, the handsets are offered with two flexible cradle options, that support both phone types. With a customizable GUI (graphical user interface) and an AndroidTM-based operating system, these smartphones make adding applications to enable cabin control, such as dimming the lights or turning on the cabin entertainment system a snap. In keeping with their multifunctional nature, these smartphones also support Web browsing, messaging and email.

The Aspire smartphone features an aviation grade noise canceling microphone and Bluetooth® headset integration. Offered in a number of colors the handsets and cradles are designed and built to fit elegantly in any cabin interior. Both the flush-mount and drop-in cradles are designed for ease of installation in a diverse range of cabin locations, including arm rests, interior walls, and side ledges, providing maximum flexibility. Aspire handsets and cradles offer superior installation flexibility while also providing landline quality voice capabilities, and more. Both wired and wireless handsets feature a full color touch screen with an AndroidTM-based operating system. The open architecture allows the device to become a cabin environment controller for dimming the lights, managing an entertainment system, and so on.
