Thuraya Sea Star is a voice-activated satellite phone with built-in GPS tracking, specially designed for reliable performance in harsh marine environments.

This affordable, easy-to-install and easy-to-use phone allows users to make voice satellite calls to public phones, mobile phones and other satellite phones via the Thuraya satellite network.

Sea Star supports SMS services through an easy-to-use menu on the phone's large color LCD screen. An emergency call button is provided to inform the pre-programmed contacts in case of an emergency. When pressed on the emergency call button, Sea Star sends a programmed distress alert that includes the GPS location coordinates in a time stamp to a maximum of five pre-assigned emergency contacts. The device is equipped with an RJ11 connector for connecting an analog telephone or a telephone switchboard. An RJ45 connector is provided for transmitting GmPRS data via a network cable to a laptop or desktop computer for Internet access.
